About MVJET
Empowering Mirasol Village residents through comprehensive workforce development, career training, and community support.
Our Mission
To equip Mirasol Village residents with the comprehensive life skills, workforce readiness, occupational training, and career support needed to secure meaningful employment, achieve long-term economic independence, and build self-sufficient families and communities.
Our Vision
A thriving Mirasol Village where every resident has the opportunity, skills, and support to pursue a meaningful career, provide for their family, and contribute to a stronger, more self-sufficient community.
The MVJET Story
The Mirasol Village Jobs, Education & Training (MVJET) Program was born from a clear community need: residents of Mirasol Village in Sacramento deserved access to quality workforce development that addressed their unique circumstances and aspirations.
Developed through a partnership between The John Stewart Company and Urban Strategies, Inc., MVJET was designed from the ground up as a resident-centered program that goes beyond traditional job training to address the whole person.
Through three integrated phases of training — soft skills development, hands-on occupational training, and personalized career coaching — MVJET creates a clear, supported pathway from unemployment to permanent, meaningful employment.
